Prevegyne® is a natural health product (NPN 80038565) that helps reduce/relieve the symptoms of non-specific vaginitis/bacterial vaginosis. A 6-day treatment is recommended to restore normal pH levels and normal vaginal flora. If after 6 days you are still experiencing symptoms or if symptoms worsen while using Prevegyne®, please consult your healthcare professional.

How does Prevegyne® work?

Prevegyne® is characterized by a special formulation that releases vitamin C over the course of several hours. This allows for effective action, while reducing the risk of vaginal irritation that can occur with high concentrations of ascorbic acid (vitamin C).

Prevegyne®’s formulation represents a modern approach to decreasing intravaginal pH levels, thereby inhibiting the growth of all bacteria that cannot grow in an environment where pH levels are ≤ 4 and favouring the growth of bacteria such as lactobacilli (major constituents of the normal vaginal flora), which are capable of reproducing even at pH levels below 4.

Dosing form

Prevegyne® is supplied in the form of controlled-release vaginal tablets. Each tablet contains 250 mg of ascorbic acid (vitamin C).

A box contains six (6) tablets.
